Introducing Wayfinder · A Complete Life Plan for Adults 55+ Who Want to Age in Place

The plan your family will actually use. Every ordinary Tuesday. And someday when it matters most.

Wayfinder captures everything your family will need to know when the person who knew it all is unavailable. What to do when the pilot light goes out. Who your grandmother's engagement ring goes to. What bills get paid and how. What you want in your final days. Anne walks you through every question. She's on your side, and she gives you the words when hard forms leave you staring at a blank page.

One-time purchase. No subscription required. Everything you build is yours to keep, export, and print — forever. 30-day money-back promise.

Wayfinder — a cream fabric-covered planner-style binder open on a warm kitchen counter, showing the title page and colored tab dividers, with a coffee mug and half-eaten blueberry muffin beside it in the morning light.

A will is not a plan.

Insurance is not a plan. Knowing where the bank statements are is not a plan. Most of us have pieces of a plan and tell ourselves that's the same thing. It isn't.

A plan is what works on an ordinary Tuesday when something goes wrong. When a spouse is in the hospital and the water heater breaks. When you're traveling and someone has to run the house for a week. When something serious happens and your family has to act — pay a bill, talk to a doctor, find a document — without asking you a single question.

That is what Wayfinder builds with you.

Honest scope

Wayfinder is one of five tools in The Independence Plan.

Preparedness · Wayfinder At Home · coming Strength · coming Village · coming Technology · coming

The Independence Plan is a family of five tools for adults 55+ who want to stay in the home they love. Each tool takes one dimension of aging in place seriously. You buy the one that matches where you are right now.

Wayfinder is the Preparedness tool. It captures the operating manual for your life — legal papers, medical summary, home operations, money, personal wishes, and everything in between. Not a legal document generator. Not a digital vault. A guided planning tool that produces a folder your family can actually open.

The other four tools are being built. As they ship, you'll be able to add each one at a growing loyalty discount — because you already trust us with your plan.

What's in the folder

Nine tabs. Each guided by Anne, one question at a time. Fill them in on your computer or print and write by hand — whatever's easiest for you.

1

Read This First

The welcome letter you write to whoever opens the folder. The Vault Map — the index of where every important document actually lives.

2

In an Emergency

Emergency contact sheet. Medical summary. Wallet card. Insurance summary. Everything a paramedic or your family needs in the first ten minutes.

3

My People

Named roles (POA, executor, healthcare proxy, guardian for pets, digital executor). Family. Professionals. The Village.

4

Legal Papers

Durable POA. Healthcare Proxy and HIPAA. Advance Directive. Will and Trust. Beneficiary Designations. Every prep worksheet generates a one-page summary you bring to your attorney.

5

My Home

How the water heater works. When to change the furnace filter. Where the water shutoff is. Vendor roster. Weekly and seasonal rhythms. The template that saves the surviving spouse from being stranded.

6

My Money

Accounts (institution + last 4 only). Income sources. Bills and autopays. Insurance policies. Everything organized so someone helping can find it — without enough to steal anything.

7

My Wishes

Comfort at the end. Funeral, burial, memorial. Digital legacy. Cultural and religious observances. The personal preferences your family would otherwise have to guess.

8

The Letter

The optional personal letter to loved ones. Anne holds space; the words are yours. Rewrite as many times as you want. Every version stays saved.

9

Update Log

Automatic audit trail. Signed annual attestation that says the folder is current. Trust ritual, not surveillance.

The coach who guides you

Anne is not a chatbot. She is a coach who's done this a thousand times.

She's on your side, and only your side. Not selling legal services. Not driving affiliate revenue in the legal tab. Her whole job is your success with what you already bought.

She translates what professionals don't explain. The difference between a durable and a regular Power of Attorney. Why HIPAA needs its own signature. What "immediately effective" means when your attorney doesn't slow down to say it.

She's built specifically for this. Every question in these nine tabs exists because it's the thing people forget, avoid, or don't know how to answer when they're doing exactly what you're doing right now. Her guidance sits right next to every field, in plain language.

And when a hard form leaves you staring at a blank page, she gives you the words. Not to copy. To unstick you. Examples of what other people say. The context behind the question. A gentle prompt when the writing won't come.

One question inside the folder

"What makes your life meaningful? Some people say family. Some say being able to think clearly. Some say working in their garden. Some say all of the above. What comes to mind for you?"

— Anne, prompting the values workbook inside the Advance Directive

Your first hour with an attorney, before the meter starts.

Every legal prep worksheet inside Wayfinder generates a one-page printable summary of your decisions. You bring it to your attorney appointment. They ask exactly these questions in the first hour anyway. Now the answers are on the sheet in front of them.

Your will is the one document we recommend doing with an attorney, no matter what — mistakes there get expensive. Wayfinder still walks you through every decision that goes into it, so you show up ready. Bring your completed worksheet to your appointment and skip the first billable hour of intake questions. Typical savings: $150-300 per document, or a flat-fee POA that would otherwise be an hourly minimum. Either path pays for Wayfinder before you're done.

For every ordinary week. Not just for someday.

Standard planning products are built around estate — what your family will need after you're gone. Wayfinder is different. Information gaps happen every week: when a spouse is traveling, in the hospital for surgery, visiting family, on a work trip, or out for the day when the furnace stops working on a cold night.

The traveling-spouse-this-week case happens twenty times more often than the surviving-spouse-someday case. Wayfinder is built for both.

"When my husband was gone, I didn't know how the sump pump worked."

Why I built this

I've watched too many families spend the worst weeks of their lives hunting through drawers, trying to piece together what someone they loved would have wanted.

I built Wayfinder because a will is not a plan. I built it because the people I built this for spent forty years planning for everyone else — a career, a family, a life — and now they're being asked to plan for their own aging with tools that don't respect the fact that they've already lived through decades of corporate goal-setting.

Wayfinder is a companion, not a checklist. Progress is measured by what got built, not how fast. This is your work, on your timeline. Steady, warm guidance from someone who has been thinking about this her whole life.

Come build your folder with me.

Tab 9 gives you a simple place to note when you've reviewed the folder and sign a one-sentence yearly attestation that it's current. A few minutes, once or twice a year, is plenty — and it's the kind of small habit that makes your folder something your family can actually trust when they need it.

Questions people ask

Do I need to be tech-savvy to use this?

No. Wayfinder is designed for people who are comfortable with email and web browsing. Anne walks you through every step. Large type. Simple screens. If you can use email, you can use Wayfinder.

How does it arrive, and what if I have never opened a zip file?

Everything comes as one zip file, which is just a bundle holding all ten documents together. Opening it is a single step.

On a Mac, iPhone, or iPad, double-click or tap it and it opens into a folder by itself. On Windows, right-click it, choose "Extract All," then click "Extract."

The instructions come in your email too, and if it gives you any trouble at all, you can reach me here.

What if I don't finish?

You don't have to finish. Each tab is its own document — if you're using Google Docs, it saves automatically as you type, so you never lose your place. There are no deadlines. No streaks. No shame. Some people finish in a weekend. Some take a year. Both are fine.

Every tab stands on its own, so partial progress on any one still helps your family. Even a completed Emergency Contact Sheet — 15 minutes of work — is life-changing on its own.

Is my information private?

Yes, completely. Everything you type stays on your own computer or in your own Google Drive. Nothing is sent to us, stored on our servers, or seen by anyone but you and whoever you personally choose to share your files with.

The templates themselves are also built on a "map, not vault" principle: we never ask you to write full account numbers, Social Security numbers, or passwords anywhere — just a summary and a note about where the real document lives. Even if a page were ever seen by the wrong person, there's very little there worth taking.

Does Wayfinder create the legal documents for me?

No, and that's intentional. For your Power of Attorney, Healthcare Proxy, Will, and Trust, we recommend working with an attorney licensed in your state — especially if your situation has any complexity. Wayfinder prepares you.

Every legal template generates a one-page prep summary of your decisions. You walk into an attorney's office with your homework done, and often save an hour of billable time ($150-300 per document). Or you use a free state form with confidence you know what you're doing.

What happens when the other pillar products launch?

The Independence Plan is a family of five tools, one per pillar of aging in place. Wayfinder covers the Preparedness pillar. As At Home, Strength, Village, and Technology ship, they'll be available to add at a growing loyalty discount for existing owners. Second product 20% off, third 30% off, fourth 40% off, fifth 50% off.

We're also building a fuller version of Wayfinder itself — a printed folder mailed to you, an AI coach you can talk to, and more. If you buy now, you get today's price locked in and early access as those features ship.

What if I already have some of these documents?

Perfect. Wayfinder captures what you have (a summary plus the storage location on your Vault Map) and helps you fill in what's missing. If you already have a signed will and Power of Attorney, we don't ask you to redo them — we help you make sure your family knows where they are.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. If it isn't right for you within 30 days of purchase, just reach out and we'll refund the full price. Whatever you've already typed into your copies is yours to keep either way — nothing is trapped or taken back.

Start with the page your family will need first.

The Emergency Contact Sheet takes 15 minutes. It's the single most useful page in the whole folder. Start there. See how it feels.
